Job Description

Job Title: Incident Reporting Centre Operator (Bilingual in French and English is an assset)

Location: Toronto, ON

Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $ 27.98 - 29.00 / hr

Shifts: Rotational 12 hour shifts; 1 month days 1 month nights

The Incident Reporting Centre Operator will handle incident reporting, document and data entry and respond to email and telephone calls in a professional manner

RESPONSIBILITIES: that may typically be assigned to this position include but are not limited to:

  • 24/7 Monitoring: Continuously monitor security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) to detect and respond to incidents in real-time.
  • Incident Management: Triage and escalate incidents per protocols, ensuring timely communication to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Communication Hub: Act as the central point of contact for field staff, client, and emergency services.
  • Dispatch Support: Coordinate deployment of personnel during emergencies or urgent coverage needs.
  • Report Generation: Maintain accurate logs, write incident reports, and document shift activity.
  • Compliance Adherence: Strict adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in critical environments where decision making and actions can impact life-safety and business continuity
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve by active listening
  • Ability to reason through complex problems and reach sound decisions
  • Strong administrative and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, listening and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Must have availability to work all days of the week and schedules that consist of day shifts and overnight shifts
  • Preference will be given to those who have two years of relevant experience
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is highly preferred, but not mandatory

EDUCATION:

  • Related Education or Certifications are an asset
  • Minimum two years of work-related experience, preferably in the security industry or a dispatch environment, is preferred
  • High School diploma
