Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Inbound QC Technician is an important role for ensuring all medical devices are assembled to the highest standards of quality and safety. They will be responsible for inspecting all inbound parts as per current engineering drawings using specific tools.
Education and Experience:
  • 2+ years in Quality Control in similar field.
  • Bachelors in a Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in medical devices.
  • Certification in relevant Quality fields will be an asset.
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools and testing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of quality inspection methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges, as needed.
Job-specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and components to verify compliance with established quality standards and specifications.
  • Execute testing protocols to assess the functionality and performance of equipment. Ensure that testing equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.
  • Maintain thorough records of all inspection and testing findings, noting any deviations or non-conformances.
  • Record the NCR’s and investigate quality issues or product failures to determine root causes.
  • Support cross functional teams as needed including production, engineering, purchasing, sourcing, materials and quality assurance, to address quality concerns.
  • Test a set percentage of parts per established standards for the company.
  • Report any defects or problems with products.
  • Train new Inbound Quality Control Technicians, as needed.
  • Analyze inspection data and quality metrics to identify trends, patterns, or recurring issues affecting product quality.
  • Other duties as assigned by the IQC/OQC Manager or Global Quality and Regulatory Manager.
