Job summary

LifeLabs in Mississauga, ON is seeking a part-time Customer Support Agent (Inbound) to be the initial contact for Ontario customers. You will screen inbound calls, provide information, and escalate inquiries as needed while upholding LifeLabs policies and values.

Training will occur in-office at 6560 Kennedy, with remote work possibilities after onboarding; shifts are day hours, and the maternity leave covers 18 months end date April 14, 2028. Start date November 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of medical terminology is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be comfortable with PC-based technology and navigating required applications.
• Typing speed of 37 wpm or more.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends.
• Desire to meet and exceed performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Communicates results from testing to health care providers via fax and inbound calls.
• Requests for Action for additional testing on specimens.
• Provides customer information to referring physicians and labs.
• Escalates inquiries appropriately through systems or leadership.
• Responds to routine inquiries from clients or customers with follow-ups.
• Receives and follows up on requests for physician consultations.
• Maintains confidentiality of client, physician, patient, employee data.
• Adheres to safety, security, and WHMIS policies.
• Supports training and orientation of new staff as needed.
