Role Description
We are seeking a Telecom Technician to join our team and contribute to our telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in telecom, VoIP, computer networking, and exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written. The role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining telecommunications systems, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain telecom systems, including VoIP systems, PBX software, and networking equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to telecommunications systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Provide technical support to customers, both remotely and on-site, addressing inquiries and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement telecom solutions tailored to customers' needs and requirements.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure the stability and security of telecom systems.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in the training of end-users on telecom systems and features.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in telecom technology to recommend improvements and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Experience working with large-scale teams. Work experience with USA and/or Canada business is a big plus.
- A diploma or degree in engineering or a related field, with a focus on telecommunications or computer science.
- 1-3 years of relevant industry experience in telecom, VoIP, or computer networking.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer care.
- Familiarity with telecom software, such as Open PBX, PBX Ware, or Bicom systems, is highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Availability to work in EST time zone and accommodate flexible working hours as needed.
