Job summary

Bass Pro Shops Saskatoon is seeking a seasonal In-Store Pick-Up Outfitter to greet customers, place orders, check availability, and help resolve issues during the pick-up process.

Role requires handling payments, informing customers when orders arrive, and using SAP/POS systems. A high school diploma, 1+ year sales/service experience, and a PAL license are preferred. Seasonal, on-site work with benefits and discounts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of sales or service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid PAL license required; training provided if needed.
• Experience in outdoor lifestyle preferred.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with orders, check item availability.
• Place orders on behalf of customers in-store to fulfill unavailable items.
• Receive In-Store Pick-Up orders from the Distribution Centre.
• Call customers to inform them their orders have arrived.
• Explain the In-Store Pick-Up process and answer questions.
• Process gift card sales at the point-of-sale to create In-Store Pick-Up orders.
• Use POS and SAP systems to complete transactions per policy.
• Resolve customer issues using good judgment within scope.
• Assist in other store areas as needed.

Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager - Front End-Receiving, the In-Store Pick-Up Outfitter will greet and assist customers in placing orders, check item availability, answer questions about new and previous orders, and solve any minor issues. During the order and pick-up process, process customer funds accurately and appropriately, while explaining additional company services and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legendary customer experience for every customer and promote company programs

• Place orders on behalf of the customer in store, to get an item that may not be available in the store at the time

• Receive In-Store Pick-Up orders that arrive in store from the Distribution Centre

• Call customers to inform them that their orders have arrived

• Handle questions about how the In-Store Pick-Up process works to ensure the customer is well informed

• Process gift card sales through the point-of-sale system to create In-Store Pick-Up orders

• Use current Point-of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) systems to accurately and appropriately complete customer transactions following all policies including those requiring checking for identification and age requirements; knowledge of how to process debit, credit cards, etc

• Respond and handle customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope

• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Qualifications:

• One or more years' experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer's expectations
• Ability to use good judgment and logic
• A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required; training will be provided if necessary
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's specific products is an asset
