Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is hiring a Sales Associate to provide fast, friendly service and to actively assist customers with their projects. You will build product knowledge, greet and thank customers, and guide them to the right solutions across departments.

You will promote additional services, help customers compare options, educate on whole projects, and maintain store shelves and safety standards. Flexible schedules may apply, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years retail experience is an asset
• Strong communication and customer-service skills

Responsibilities

• Ensures Customer Satisfaction by greeting, engaging, and thanking customers per GET model.
• Actively seek customers throughout the store and escort them to appropriate merchandise.
• Ask open-ended questions to determine customer needs and knowledge level.
• Promote services like Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk/Pro Services and related offerings.
• Discuss options (good/better/best) and suggest related items outside the department.
• Educate customers about the whole project and empower solutions when needed.
• Maintain daily stock: sign, display, and keep products clean.
• Follow safety and loss-prevention policies and procedures.
