Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a Bakery Supervisor to lead daily bakery operations, ensuring quality and freshness while supporting a collaborative in-store team dedicated to exceptional customer service.

You will oversee production, merchandising, inventory, and safety standards, stepping in for the Bakery Manager when needed and fostering a positive, fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 months of bakery or related retail experience.
• Strong understanding of bakery operations, including production and merchandising.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support bakery team members to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a positive, engaging work environment.
• Oversee daily production, merchandising, and product presentation to ensure freshness, quality, and visual appeal.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage ordering, and minimize waste while meeting sales and margin targets.
• Support scheduling, task delegation, and adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health standards.
• Step in to manage departmental operations in the absence of the Bakery Manager or Assistant Manager.
