Job summary

Safeway in Calgary is seeking a friendly Baker for in-store bakery duties and on-the-job training. You will prepare bakery products, greet customers, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and product presentation.

The role emphasizes safe handling, efficient work in a fast-paced environment, and weekend/holiday availability. Alberta-specific duties include donut frying and oven tasks as required.

• Receive and put away product orders
• Cleaning and sanitizing of bakery equipment
• Receiving and rotating of baked product
• Filling Bakery showcases

Physical Requirements (Seldom: Not Daily, Rare: 0-5% of shift, Occasional: 6-33% of shift, Frequent: 34-66% of shift, Constant: 66-100% of shift)

• Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds
• Frequent hand coordination, bending pushing, pulling and twisting
• Occasional lifting of between 20-50 lbs including waist level and low level lifts
• Constant standing, walking, gripping, reaching
