Job summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a part-time Language Instructor (OLBI) to teach ESL 120: Academic Development in English on the main campus for the 2027 Winter Semester. Classes run Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with in-person instruction required.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in second language teaching (or TESL-related) and have at least two years of ESL teaching experience at the college/university level. TESL certification or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in second language teaching, TESL or related discipline.
• Two years of ESL teaching at the college/university level.
• TESL certification or equivalent.
• In-person instruction at the University of Ottawa campus.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESL 120: Academic Development in English in-person at main campus.
• Deliver instruction Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM for the Winter 2027 term.
