Overview

In-Home Recreational Volunteer opportunity with Alzheimer Society of Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland, Haliburton. Volunteers visit clients once per week for 1-2 hours to provide meaningful activities. Ongoing opportunity. Posted 2024-12-09.

What you'll be doing

In-Home Recreation volunteers visit clients at the client's home once per week. Activities include conversation, walking, reading, playing cards, or other mutually agreed activities important to the client. Provides companionship and relief for caregivers. Minimum 12 weeks. Work with Client Support Coordinator to report observations, comments, or concerns.

Requirements

Willing to undergo a background or police records check. Minimum 16 years old. Flexible schedule. On-site address: Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland & Haliburton, Ontario.
