Job description

In-home Caregiver – Private Home – SeKa Family

NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is August 1, 2025.

Salary: Wage offered is $20 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial median wage for the NOC Code of this position changes.

Location: SeKa family lives in North York, Toronto, Ontario. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, with schools and parks nearby. Public transportation is available.

Duties may include:

  1. Help with the care of three children: one 9-year-old, and two 6-year-old twins.
  2. Supervise children when parents are not at home, and take the children to and from appointments.
  3. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
  4. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
  5. Bathe children as needed.
  6. General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
  7. Dust rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
  2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
  3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
