In-home Caregiver – Private Home – SeGr… Family

NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is April 1, 2024.

Language Requirement: French or English.

Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location: SeGr… lives in the city of Sherbrooke, in Quebec. The home is situated in the Eastern Townships. Public transportation is available.

Duties may include:

1. Help with the care of two children aged 12 years old and 15 years.
2. Supervision of children when parents are not at home, and take the children to and from appointments.
3. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
4. Prepare and cook nutritious snacks and meals for the children.
5. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
6. General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
7. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have completed at minimum the Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
