Job description

In-home Caregiver – Private Home – RoLe Family

• NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible/Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is June 1, 2025.

Language Requirement: French or English.

Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location: NiBe family lives in Westmount, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, with schools and parks nearby. The city bus is easily accessible (#66 and #124). The major intersection is Côte Saint-Luc and Boul. Décarie.

Duties may include:

1. Help with the care of three children; care is not for the children’s father who suffers from a chronic medical condition.
2. Supervision of children when parents are not at home and taking the children to and from appointments.
3. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
4. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
5. Bathe children as needed.
6. General housework, which includes doing laundry and some ironing.
7. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have completed at minimum the Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
