In-home Caregiver – Private Home – RiPa… Family

NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment: This job is for a full-time position (32 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. French or English. Job start date is March 1st, 2025.

Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $19 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location: RiPa… lives in the city of Westmount, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, with schools and parks nearby. The city bus is easily accessible (bus #24). The major intersection is Atwater/Sherbrooke West.

Duties may include:

1. Help with the care of two children – aged 7 years old and 5 years old.
2. Supervision of children when parents are not at home.
3. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
4. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
5. Plan, prepare, and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required.
6. General housework that will include doing laundry and ironing.
7. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have completed at minimum Canadian secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
4. Experience with young babies and children is an asset.
