In-home Caregiver – Private Home – JoAl… Family

NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is July 6, 2025.

Language Requirement: French or English.

Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location: JoAl… lives in Sainte Anne de Bellevue, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus (# 44, # 45, and # 200) and Exo commuter train is easily accessible and is close by. The major intersection is ave Féliz-Leclerc and Boul. Des Anciens-Combattants.

Duties may include:

1. Helping with the care of a 2-year-old child and a newborn. Care is not for the children’s mother who suffers from a chronic medical condition.
2. Supervision of children when parents are not at home, and taking the child to and from appointments.
3. Organizing and participating in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
4. Disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents.
5. Bathing children as needed.
6. Supervision of the baby when parents are not at home.
7. General housework, including laundry and some ironing.
8. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have completed at minimum the Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
