In-home Caregiver – Private Home – JeCa… Family

• NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible hours are required. English or French. Job start date is February 1, 2024.

Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17.00 per hour. If minimum wage is paid, the wage will be adjusted when the provincial wage changes.

Location: JeCa… lives in North Hatley, Quebec. The home is situated in a rural area of Quebec, a 1.5 hour drive from downtown Montreal, Quebec.

Duties may include:

1. Help with the care of four children – an 8-year-old, a 6-year-old, a 5-year-old, and a toddler.
2. Supervision of children when parents are not at home.
3. Bathe, dress, and feed the youngest children.
4. Change diapers, if needed.
5. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
6. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
7. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
8. Plan, prepare, and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required.
9. General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
10. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.
11. Cooking food and giving snacks to kids.

Qualifications:

1. Must have completed at minimum the Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
