Job summary

March of Dimes Canada is hiring a Full-Time Brain Injury Rehabilitation Worker for the Elliot Lake, ON area. You will implement personalized support plans in clients’ homes and the community, assisting adults with brain injuries in daily living and cognitive skills.

The role requires a minimum of three years in Human Services (ABI experience preferred), CPR/First Aid is an asset, and a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary in Human or Social Services preferred or Rehabilitation Assistant diploma.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in Human Services field and/or working with people with ABI.
• Current CPR and First Aid is an asset.
• Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to speak English; French-English bilingualism is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; reliable and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized support services plans within the home and/or community for adults with brain injury.
• Assist individuals with brain injury in instrumental activities of daily living, cognitive and problem-solving skills.
• Provide services on a flexible basis during weekday business hours.
• Reporting responsibilities including daily log notes, incident reports, and verbal reports as required.
• Participate in training as required.
• Follow policies and procedures as required.
