Job description

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to support the implementation of a major SaaS modernization initiative within a large public sector property assessment organization.

Overview

This role will focus on overseeing and coordinating technical activities related to a multi-year project aimed at replacing legacy systems and over 20 standalone tools with a modern, integrated Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) solution. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of IT experience, including six or more years leading technical implementation, upgrade, migration, or transformation initiatives.

  • Strong leadership skills and experience working with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, business analysts, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Experience with property assessment information systems, SaaS deployments, and service delivery environments is highly desirable.
Contract Details

*** 11 month contract to start ***

*** Remote work is possible with occasional travel to New Brunswick ***

Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager in executing the project mandate by applying technical expertise and leadership skills.
  • Lead a team of subject matter experts, business analysts, and vendor resources to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate technical implementation activities to support the successful deployment of a new SaaS-based CAMA solution.
  • Facilitate and moderate project meetings, ensuring accurate meeting minutes are produced and shared.
  • Track and manage day-to-day project tasks to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Identify project issues and risks, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate as needed.
  • Maintain and update the project implementation plan, tracking progress and deviations.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed project status reports and maintain project management tools.
  • Ensure effective collaboration and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Motivate and guide the project team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, with at least 8 years of IT experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical implementation, upgrade, migration, or transformation projects.
  • 6+ years of experience engaging with subject matter experts, business teams, and vendors.
  • Experience in project management for Property Assessment information systems, including CAMA projects.
Scored Requirements
  • 6+ years in a leadership role ensuring project and operational deliverables.
  • Experience working in collaborative and autonomous team environments.
  • 4+ years with Microsoft Office Suite and related tools for managing tasks and reports.
  • Experience with at least one cloud SaaS implementation involving business transformation is a strong asset.
