Overview

This position supports the TRC implementation of residential energy efficiency and the Home Performance program on Long Island. You draw on your related industry experience to include residential weatherization, HVAC/heat pump systems, installation practices and procedures, and project coordination experience to ensure consistent program implementation and trade ally (partner) support. Your strong time management skills, ability to prioritize, effectively communicate, and professionally represent our electric utility client allow you to succeed in our multi-faceted environment. The selected candidate focuses on meeting and exceeding key performance indicators and directly impacting the program's success.

You support daily program operations and serve as a resource for participating partners. Applicant will serve as liaison with dealer/distributors, manufacturer’s, local management, planning, and internal program teams. In this role you will conduct project document submittals and assist with project processing and provide partner support with project document submittals and Manual J reports. Additionally, you will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals/objectives. Finally, you will interface with program design and planning teams to ensure accurate application version deployment, partner communication, and database management.

Responsibilities will also include raising industry awareness and participation from the trades/distributors as needed to meet program goals. This includes outreach to HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning) contractors, distributors, and related industry partners to increase program awareness, support recruitment efforts and activities needed for program participation goals. This includes contractor recruitment efforts, program presentations to the industry, trades, residential consumers, and various utility events and forums.


Responsibilities

Eligible candidates must be located in the Long Island, NY area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting the implementation and integrity of Home Performance and combination projects by:
  2. Understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  3. Working knowledge of industry and company practices.
  4. Providing timely partner support with commitment to customer satisfaction.
  5. Participating in internal and external trainings.
  6. Participating in marketing events and program collateral development.
  7. Working with internal teams and partners to facilitate project submittals and review of documentation required for processing and project completions.
  8. Supporting weekly Open House events.
  9. Presenting program details to audiences for recruitment, training, and participation requirements.
  10. Working with our utility client to ensure the program meets all contractual obligations with high customer satisfaction.
  11. Utilizing our customer relationship management (CRM) database for project reviews and processing requirements.
  12. Applying data analyst skills to identify trends and develop practices for efficient and accurate project processing.
  13. Identifying and attending industry functions and meetings for recruitment and awareness efforts.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Ability to create and present customer educational documentation related to program participation to multiple demographic communities.
  2. Understanding of technical documentation and equipment such as HVAC and related systems.
  3. Basic understanding of building science, HVAC principles and practices, including common equipment & controls and industry best practices.
  4. Ability to learn technical information and basic calculations as they apply to HVAC sizing, selection, and installation.
  5. Ability to evaluate weatherization projects for additional energy efficiency opportunities.
  6. Ability to learn, understand and apply energy efficiency principles and mathematical models.
  7. Microsoft software experience, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  8. Must be able to travel throughout the service territory as needed.
  9. Must be available off hours and weekends as needed to support events on an as-needed basis.
  10. Ability to create presentations and related program collateral to review with clients, and industry trades.
  11. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  12. Ability to multi-task to support concurrent priorities.
  13. Aptitude to effectively communicate, schedule meetings, and track tasks through completion.
  14. Proven ability to perform well in a team environment.

Highly Competitive Applicants have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  2. Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining customer, client, and vendor relationships with a high level of satisfaction.
  3. Professional presence with desire to improve processes and exceed program goals.
  4. Experience with using modeling industry software and/or Manual J software.
  5. Strong time management skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Aptitude for Microsoft Dynamics or other related CRM software.
  7. Aptitude for Microsoft SharePoint.
  8. Possess current industry certifications or training.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
