Sterling Brokers is disrupting the Group Benefits and Retirement landscape in Canada through our innovative application, integrating with the largest insurance carriers in Canada and global HRIS platforms, to administer a streamlined solution. We are the largest independently owned and operated Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Broker in Canada, and 4th largest overall. Established in 2014, SCB is growing rapidly and looking for talented individuals to join our team.

About the role

The Implementation Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for Sterling Brokers' clients. This position is responsible for managing & maintaining client and carrier data, facilitating technical setups, and driving successful client implementations. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and carrier partners to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and a seamless transition for new and renewing clients.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication to bridge operational and technical processes.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Project Manage Client Implementations : Oversee the entire client onboarding process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from initiation to completion.
  • Facilitate Kick-Off Meetings : Lead client implementation kick-off calls to align expectations, gather required information, and establish next steps.
  • Validate Onboarding Documentation : Review client documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Carrier & Platform Setup :
  • Prepare and submit implementation forms to carrier partners.
  • Ensure proper setup of new clients and plan members within SCBConnect and carrier platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :
  • Act as the liaison between internal teams (Operations, Sales, Systems, and Carrier Relations) and external stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve carrier-related onboarding requests.
  • Data & Process Integrity :
  • Conduct data audits and validation to ensure accuracy in system setups.
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements to enhance the client experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ year of experience in Group Benefits or a related industry preferred.
  • Strong data analysis skills; experience working with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) required.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms, data feeds, and carrier systems is a plus.
  • Ability to conduct business in French is a plus (can be coached on industry specific terms as needed).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with clients in a professional capacity.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
