Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is seeking an Intermediate Systems Engineering Analyst to help shape the LC5ISR-T system for Canada’s Army operations. You’ll collaborate with DND and program teams on architecture, requirements, and security controls in a military context.

The role touches applications, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity, with responsibilities including design documentation, SPR management, security artifacts, and participation in reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of Systems Engineering or Systems Architecture.
  • Minimum 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux security policies and vulnerability tools.
  • Familiar with DOORS, RTC, and UML/SysML.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system and product level design and support.
  • Document system and subsystem requirements specifications, interface control documents, design documents and use cases.
  • Manage System Problem Reports (SPRs) and Observations and support bug fixes.
  • Provide guidance to development teams for implementation within security controls.
  • Support integration and test activities, including reviewing test cases and results.
  • Participate in meetings and reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of deliverables and meet program milestones.
  • Evaluate and establish the system security architecture and design to security controls.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments to refine defenses.
  • Ensure cybersecurity frameworks align with NIST RMF, ITSG-33, DISA STIGs, and FIPS.
  • Draft security artifacts and SA&A documentation for audits.
