Job summary

Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) in Inuvik seeks an Applied Research & Knowledge Mobilization Manager to lead knowledge acquisition, data analysis, modelling and science communication across ISR initiatives.

You will draft proposals to secure funding, manage research programs, supervise staff, administer budgets and collaborate with partners to advance Indigenous social, cultural, and environmental wellbeing. Experience with GIS and QNIHS is valued, with relocation support offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social or health sciences is required.
• 5+ years in applied research settings with data analysis.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience (PMI designation preferred).
• 5+ years of financial management, planning, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience with Indigenous communities and organizations is highly valued.
• Proficiency with statistical tools and software (R, Stata, SPSS, SAS).

Responsibilities

• Lead IRC’s knowledge acquisition projects and oversee data analysis, modelling and science communication.
• Draft proposals to secure funding and manage research administration.
• Oversee research instruments and fieldwork review; validate and analyze data; draft reports.
• Supervise internal research staff and monitor programs related to Inuvialuit wellbeing.
• Plan and administer program budgets, collaborate with partners, and support timely project completion.
