McGill University invites applications for a teaching assistant for the Department of Microbiology & Immunology. The position supports the Intermediate Immunology course (MIMM 314) with grading, content management on MyCourses, and student assistance in English (French desirable).

Hourly salary is $38.46 CAD, start 2027-01-05, end 2027-04-30, with deadline 2026-11-01. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada and prefer French knowledge.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Immunology and Microbiology; ideally taken MIMM 214/314 or equivalent and performed well.
• Excellent time management skills required.

Responsabilités

• Grade short written answers for quizzes and exams.
• Enter grades into a spreadsheet.
• Assist with uploading course content on MyCourses.
• Answer questions from students in person or by email.
• Organize at least two pre-exam tutorials/discussions.
• Lead group discussions during two Mystery Cases in class.
• Assist with setup and adjudication of mid-term and final exams.
• Meet with the coordinator to discuss progress and course changes.
