Job Description

The Data Center Operator will monitor the facilities infrastructure in the DC to ensure that they are within the operating levels defined by the Customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Power infrastructure (such as Uninterrupted Power Supply and power distribution boards)
• Cooling Infrastructure (such as computer room air-conditioning units)
• Fire detection and suppression systems (such as FM200, water sprinklers, fire extinguishers)
• Environment monitoring system (such as humidity and temperature)

The Data Center Operator shall ensure the DC infrastructure is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and inform the Customer within 1 hour when problems are detected.

The Data Center Operator will work with the Customer and Customer-appointed Supplier to resolve any infrastructure issues detected.

Other responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the general cleanliness and tidiness of the data centre are maintained by the Customer-appointed Supplier
• Working with Customer-appointed Supplier on site preparation tasks such as network cabling and electrical wiring
• Ensuring the network cabling in the data centre and within the racks are neat and tidy
• Planning and coordinating maintenance activities

Requirements:

• Preferably Three (3) years of working experience in Data Centre Engineer Operations experience
• ITIL v4 Foundation Certification or equivalent
