About The Role

The IMIT Operations Manager is responsible for the general operational oversight of various commercial and industrial electric construction projects. The IMIT Operations Manager manages projects across the entire project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, product specifications, project planning, purchase decisions, implementation, integration, quality assurance, training, and deployment.

Essential Functions

  • Manage a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators to deliver IMIT projects across various construction sectors.
  • Support electrical and security-related projects in collaboration with Operations Managers.
  • Manage design, procurement, implementation, and commissioning of systems like structured cabling, TCP / IP networks, Nurse Call, Patient Wandering, Building Automation, Access Control, CCTV, Intercoms, power metering, and audio / video.
  • Analyze data to identify business opportunities and work with stakeholders to implement technology solutions.
  • Manage vendor and client relationships, track, and bid on projects.
  • Establish and maintain project management standards.
  • Lead integration activities of building systems over open protocols (BACNET, MODBUS, HTML5).
  • Oversee projects through all lifecycle phases, including planning, scope, budget, and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with technical documentation and scope of work.
  • Identify issues and implement strategic solutions timely.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

About You

  • Minimum 5 years of project management and estimating experience in the electric construction industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an IT-related industry.
  • Certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) credentials are an asset.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; relevant education and experience considered.
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry, clinical informatics, trends, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement IMIT QA / QC programs.
  • Knowledge of data networking and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience managing contractual obligations related to building systems.
  • Proficiency with specifications, proposals, and estimating documentation.
  • Knowledge of electric codes and ability to read technical plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software; capable of scheduling with Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work with diverse partners.
