ScotiaMcLeod Wealth Advisor Development Program:

Purpose:

ScotiaMcLeod Wealth Advisors help high net worth clients achieve peace of mind by providing trusted advice and tailored total wealth solutions to meet their short, medium, and long term life goals.

The purpose of the Wealth Advisor Development Program (WADP) is to implement business succession planning to grow the advisor population and ultimately provide high net worth clients with trusted advice and tailored solutions.

The program is held twice a year for three months with a blended approach including facilitator-led workshops and self-study courses.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

In this Program you will:

  • Build confidence in your abilities, including communication, professional presence and understanding of the sales process and conducting client discovery.
  • Learn how to apply advice, strategies, and insights, translating them into actionable development goals.
  • Develop a growth mindset where you will have the tools and solutions to contribute to the growth of existing businesses and development of new client relationships.
  • Learn how to actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with ScotiaMcLeod’s Values.

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS

We’d love to have you join this program if you have:

  • 3-5 years of full-time business experience.
  • Client contact and relationship building.
  • Experience in a sales environment with skills in building your own book of business.
  • A background in finance, sales or a professional designation considered an asset.
  • An entrepreneurial or target-driven mindset.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluently bilingual in English & Spanish is required.

Required:

  • Post Secondary education.
  • CSC I & II - CPH can be completed during the RR licensing process.

Upon hire, successful completion of:

  • The self-study CIRO Registered Representative 90-Day Licensing Program.
  • ScotiaMcLeod Wealth Advisor Development Program (WADP).
  • Insurance License within 12 months of hire date.
  • WME within 18 months of being licensed as Registered Representative.

Asset:

  • Professional designations (Certified Financial Planner, Qualified Associate Financial Planner, Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst).
  • Second language an asset depending on target markets.
