Job summary

Certarus Ltd. in Calgary is seeking an Ignition SCADA Specialist to support, configure, and enhance the Ignition platform across field and operations. You will work with Engineering and Operations to deliver reliable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.

You will monitor performance, perform troubleshooting, and collaborate with vendors, IT, and field staff to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement of the SCADA environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on experience supporting, configuring, or developing SCADA/OT solutions.
• Direct Ignition platform experience is strongly preferred (Gateway, Perspective, tags, alarms, reports).
• Experience with PLCs, edge devices, protocols (OPC UA/MQTT/Modbus) is an asset.
• Working knowledge of databases, SQL, Python/Jython scripting, and Azure is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Ignition SCADA health, admin, configuration, and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain Ignition applications, Views, UDTs, tags, alarms, reports, and scripts.
• Respond to field staff and operations calls, diagnose remotely, and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on improvements and integration tasks.
• Coordinate with partners and vendors under the SCADA Lead guidance.
