Job description

Are you an Identity Analyst with experience in Privileged Access Management, Identity Provider configuration, Access Control Systems, and Automation? Our large Alberta-based financial client is seeking an Identity Analyst for a 4-month contract.

Responsibilities
  1. Act as a representative of the Enterprise Identity & Application Security team, fostering strong partnerships with dependent teams and stakeholders.
  2. Ensure adherence to performance-based SLAs; manage complex, fast-paced access changes effectively.
  3. Improve existing tools and processes to align with industry best practices.
  4. Consult on new projects to ensure IAM standards and best practices are met.
  5. Evaluate and enhance Identity & Access processes, seeking automation opportunities.
  6. Learn and apply existing processes with supervision, seeking training and mentorship.
  7. Promote secure access management practices organization-wide.
  8. Demonstrate growth and a desire to advance within the organization.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT Enterprise environment.
  2. Experience with Identity Providers and implementing Single Sign-On (SSO).
  3. Experience with Google Cloud Platform access controls, OAuth, API keys, Service Accounts.
  4. Familiarity with authentication protocols: SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Industry certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, or Google PCSE (or pursuing).
  7. Experience with multi-forest Active Directory environments and Privileged Access Management (assets).
  8. Knowledge of IAM governance, compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and access reviews (assets).
  9. Familiarity with NIST, security principles like least privilege.
  10. ServiceNow / ITIL v4 experience.
  11. Strong soft skills for cross-team collaboration.
  12. Research and troubleshooting skills.
  13. Knowledge of Windows, MacOS, Linux (assets).
  14. Automation experience with Python, Shell, APIs (assets).
