Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking an Identity and Access Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen identity security across clinical and corporate environments. You will support Azure/Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and privileged access solutions while shaping future security services.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year post-secondary program in information technology, computer systems technology, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum five years of experience in a large, complex information technology environment.
• Experience supporting and administering Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP, identity management systems, group policy management, and access provisioning processes.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Conditional Access.
• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts, including MFA, SSO, IAM, RBAC, PIM, PAM, JIT and Zero Trust security principles.
• Intermediate to advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
• Knowledge of NTFS file systems, security identifiers (SIDs), directory services, and access control methodologies.
• Experience with change management and release management processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and advance identity and access management practices that ensure appropriate access while maintaining security and compliance.
• Evaluate access requests and administer identity technologies, enforcing least-privilege controls.
• Develop automation solutions, conduct access reviews, and monitor risks across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.
• Contribute to service development initiatives and documentation to support continuous improvement.
