Position Title: Lead Financial Analyst, Corp FP&A

Client Details:

The International Fortune 500 entity operates in Canada as a well-renowned household brand, leading provider of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, building controls and automation, and fire and security systems, contributing to safer, smarter, sustainable, and high-performance buildings.

Role Summary:

The Lead Financial Analyst, FP&A will be responsible for a variety of financial duties related to planning, analysis, and reporting. This includes periodic reporting of financial results, forecasts, the annual budget process, incentives, variance analysis, data consolidation, and special projects. The role partners with functional leads to provide financial guidance and analytics to support key decision-making and help achieve organizational objectives.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate leadership in consensus-building and team development within and outside of Finance.
  • Understand business implications and proactively solve problems to support Commercial and Operations in delivering results.
  • Coordinate business presentations such as month-end close, forecasting, quarterly reviews, and planning.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify core issues using data, and assist the FP&A Lead in improving and creating new forecasting measures and efficiencies.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills (macros, index, conditional lists, arrays, pivots, lookups) for reporting and analysis.
  • Manage development and continuous improvement of weekly and monthly financial close, planning, forecasting, and reporting models.
  • Assist in developing the Annual Operating Plan, establishing planning calendars, timelines, targets, and key deliverables.
  • Review and reconcile P/L, B/S, and supplementary data with the corporate HFM system.
  • Collaborate with data source providers and technology teams to ensure data accuracy, automation, and timeliness.
  • Support sales operations through commission plan design, calculations, accrual management, and payments.
  • Effectively partner with business units, managing competing priorities and providing guidance during unexpected events.
  • Provide additional analytical support as needed.

Location: Mississauga/Toronto, Ontario (near Pearson Airport)

Salary Range: $75k - $90k, based on experience. 6-month contract with strong potential for transition into a permanent position.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in accounting or finance, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • Operations or manufacturing experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, financial analysis, and budgeting/forecasting processes.
  • Proven track record of financial process and reporting improvements.
  • Ability to develop and apply financial models.
  • Strong PC skills, including advanced Excel, HFM, JDE, Tableau, PowerBI, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment.
  • Self-directed with excellent organizational skills to meet reporting deadlines.
