Job description

Our client is seeking a qualified ICT Teacher to join a further and higher education college, located in Halifax.

This role can be either full-time or part-time.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Act as an effective computing tutor and develop your Course Leadership skills to meet College targets.
• Develop industry and employer opportunities for students to prepare them for future progression and employment.
• Undertake an annually agreed teaching commitment.
• Provide pre-entry advice and assessment to enable effective enrolment.
• Contribute positively to the promotional activities of the Faculty and College.
• Manage course administration such as registers, attendance, student reports, and related statistical information, including reports on agreed targets.
• Implement college policies regarding teaching, learning, and student support.
• Assist in developing learning resources tailored to learner styles and advise on curriculum design and innovation.
• Prepare for external verification and participate in verification activities.
• Devise, publish, and review learning plans and schemes of work to ensure inclusiveness.
• Participate in quality assurance processes to maintain provision standards.
• Perform any other duties appropriate to the post's grading.

Essential and Desired Skills :

• Experience of teaching and learning in FE.
• Experience of using ICT resources.
• Experience in curriculum planning and resource development.
• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English and Maths.
• Relevant professional development and CPD evidence.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE / Cert Ed or equivalent, or willingness to undertake.
• Eligibility for an enhanced DBS check.
• Commitment to inclusiveness, equality, and diversity.
• Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.
