This Position reports to:

Superviseur, ingénierie de production

In this role, you will focus on performing testsand supporting the continuous improvement of our manufacturing methodsfor ICOS infrared spectroscopywithin the Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) business segmentin Québec.

Reporting to the Production Engineering Supervisorand under the guidance of the Methods Group Leader, you will be responsible for the execution and continuous improvement of ICOS testing procedures.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, efficient in task execution, and truly values teamwork. You are proactive, a strong communicator, and skilled at problem-solving.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform final testson analyzers while ensuring expected performance is met
  • Carry out quality controlon the same analyzers
  • Analyze and document any issues encountered during testing
  • Follow established procedures and processes
  • Take ownership of problem resolution, either independently or collaboratively
  • Participate in the development of methods and products

Continuous Improvement

  • Actively contribute to implementing ideas for improving test procedures and methods
  • In collaboration with the process owner of the production cell, carry out continuous improvement projects
  • Align with ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, meaning taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the company

Qualifications

  • University degree in Science or Engineering(Physics, Optics, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, or related field)
  • Experience with optical system testing methods, ideally in spectroscopic measurementsusing tunable lasers
  • Strong interest in continuous improvement
  • Experience in production engineeringor process improvementis an asset
  • Experience with high-level programming tools (e.g., Pythonor MATLAB) is an asset
  • Strong learning abilityand sharp analytical skills
  • High level of autonomy, accountability, and versatility
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-orientedand skilled with hands-on work
  • Solid analytical thinkingand problem-solving abilities
