Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. is seeking an ICC General Assembly Conference Coordinator to oversee event planning and coordination for the Inuit Circumpolar Council General Assembly in Iqaluit. Under the direction of the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, the ICC General Assembly Conference Coordinator the primary responsibilities will be to develop and implement strategic plans, manage event budgets, prepare funding requests, coordinate with various stakeholders, and oversee all event operations. This role will provide strategic, logistical, and program planning coordination and support to Nunavut Tunngavik Inc., addressing a full range of issues as the organization prepares to host the Inuit Circumpolar Council General Assembly (ICC GA) in Iqaluit.
To be invited for an interview, you must have strong coordination, planning and preparation skills. Excellent writing and presentation skills, good knowledge of the Nunavut Agreement, NTI’s Mission and sensitivity to Inuit issues. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meeting demanding deadlines and working under high levels of stress/pressure. Experience in event planning and coordination and managing volunteers and contracts, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Fluency in Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun is an asset. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preference will be given to Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.
Starting salary is $133,915.00 per annum (commensurate with experience) a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.
Housing allowance of $35,865.00
