Position Overview

Join IAF’s innovative team as a Co-op Student where you’ll play a key role in supporting various company operations, communications, and program initiatives! This hands-on role is focused on program administration and execution – helping maintain accurate client and project data, assisting with funding documentation, and ensuring operational processes run smoothly. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments to support the full lifecycle of program activities, from organizing mailouts and updating manuals to verifying reports and assisting with event logistics. You'll also contribute to internal and external communications, create content for newsletters and social media, and support financial and reporting tasks tied to IAF’s funding programs. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment. A keen eye for detail, adept multi-tasker, and an approach to learning with an open and curious mind, makes you successful in this role!

This position is in-person working out of IAF’s Victoria office. It is a full-time position, 37.5 hrs per week, 4-month co-op. The hourly wage is $25.00 with a start date in September 2025. Only students currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution who will be returning after the co-op or have a co-op program requirement to graduate are eligible for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance of IAF’s manuals, processes, and procedures and updating of internal manuals as needed
  • Support team and program event planning and coordination as necessary
  • Prepare, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material as directed
  • Support the creation of content for communications and marketing efforts, including newsletters, social media post, website copy, and brochures and additional materials
  • Enter and maintain client data and project information into IAF’s CRM and Database system (Dynamics 365)
  • Support the review and verify the accuracy of information received from clients, both written reports and receipt verification
  • Support the review and verification of project financial reporting documentation for eligibility, verifying source documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance

What You Will Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a university or technical program. Preferred programs include business, business administration, communications or similar; students entering the final year of their post-secondary education are preferred
  • Experience writing, formatting and creating documents is an asset
  • Data entry and management experience is an asset
  • Ability to navigate the Microsoft Office Suite desktop applications; intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of CRM and data management protocols
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt and work effectively within a variety of diverse situations and with diverse individuals or group
  • Efficient and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload

Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave IAF at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.
