Job summary

GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to join our Fort McMurray team. This full-time permanent role covers local in-town work with home every night, schedule Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly, and occasional site rotations.

You will operate hydrovac trucks, perform daylighting and trenching, locate utilities, and maintain safety and documentation while working closely with a swamper and client supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
• Minimum three years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Current driver's abstract and a letter of experience.
• Able to pass a pre access drug and alcohol test.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hydrovac truck safely and productively, including standard transmission units.
• Perform daylighting and utility locating to expose buried utilities without damage.
• Cut slot trenches for cable, pipeline and drainage work in tight ground.
• Excavate pile holes for signs, fencing and structural supports.
• Clean out manholes, culverts and debris.
• Pre/post trip inspections, logs and risk assessments.
• Work with swamper to split physical work fairly.
• Follow site safety requirements and stop work when unsafe.
