Job Description

Are you enthusiastic about safe excavation and skilled in operating hydrovac equipment? Join the Badger team as a Hydrovac Operator! In this role, you'll use high-pressure water and vacuum systems to dig precisely and efficiently, uncover utilities, and contribute to various construction projects. Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Operating hydrovac equipment and performing hydrovac duties in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces
  2. Driving our hydrovac trucks (10-15% of total work time)
  3. Attending safety meetings
  4. Performing routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipment
  5. Preparing work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards
  6. Documenting and reporting all Badger, Federal, Provincial, and Customer paperwork accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
  1. Must have Valid 1, 3 or DZ license (A-D license in Ontario) with airbrake endorsement
  2. First aid, Ground Disturbance and CSTS preferred (other safety tickets including but not limited to Fall protection, H2S alive and Confined Spaces may also be required depending on location)
  3. Preferred experience driving a manual transmission (10-18 speed) without automatic restrictions
  4. Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours
  5. Must be willing to travel up to 25%
  6. Must be able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions
  7. Prior hydrovac equipment operation or related industrial experience preferred

  4. Personal Protective Equipment provided
  5. Candidates must undergo a physical examination and complete pre-employment screenings such as driver’s abstract review and drug and alcohol test
