About the role

Our mining and metals teams assist clients in safely and sustainably mining essential minerals and metals. We are seeking a Hydrometallurgy Student for an internship starting Fall 2025, reporting to the Global Director of Hydrometallurgy, based at our Mississauga Head Office.

Responsibilities
  • Problem solving related to project work
  • Supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams, focusing on process teams
  • Developing design criteria, mass and energy balances
  • Interpreting simulation and field data, developing test work programs
  • Assisting with equipment sizing, materials selection, layout, hazard studies, and cost estimation
  • Managing scope, schedule, and budget under supervision
  • Report writing
Qualifications
  • 3rd or 4th-year student pursuing a relevant degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, Materials Engineering, or Extractive Metallurgy
  • Interest in metals processing
  • Strong academic record
  • Ability to evaluate metals processing using chemistry, heat, mass transfer, and thermodynamics concepts
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
