Hatfield Consultants seeks a Hydrogeologist to join our Water Resources Group in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This primarily field-based role supports hydrogeology components of environmental management projects across northern Alberta and requires relocation to Fort McMurray.
You will work with a multidisciplinary team, implement field programs, manage data, and contribute to technical reports for clients and regulatory agencies.

We are seeking a Hydrogeologist to join our dynamic Water Resources Group in Fort McMurray, Alberta. As part of the Hatfield team, the Hydrogeologist will support the implementation of hydrogeology components of Hatfield's environmental management projects in northern Alberta. This is primarily a field-based position. Please note, this is not a fly in / fly out role, and requires relocation to Fort McMurray.
Responsibilities:
B.Sc. or higher in sciences or engineering with hydrogeology experience and appropriate qualifications for work in Alberta.
Registered as a geoscientist in training and have a minimum 2 years of demonstrated groundwater experience.
Demonstrated experience with hydrogeologic monitoring instrumentation and datalogger programming.
Experience and interest in field work. Field work in remote locations is required.
Familiar with the Alberta and Federal regulatory processes.
Fluent verbal communication and ability to write concisely.
