Job summary

Lonestar Sylvan Inc., a Clean Harbors Company, Calgary, AB, is seeking a Local Hydro Vac Operator. The successful candidate will operate Hydro Vac units for daylighting excavation work in pipeline, construction, utility and oil terminal projects, with travel up to 40% away from home.

We offer union wages within Local 955 range ($37.87–$40.04/hour) based on experience, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, RRSP with company matching, and opportunities for growth in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• License: Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s
• 1+ year of commercial driving experience
• Ability to drive manual transmissions (10,13,18 speeds)
• Experience in labor‑intensive environments (oil&gas, industrial) preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate Hydro Vac Units as part of daylighting excavation tasks
• Drive to job sites and rig equipment
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and log maintenance
• Complete daily paperwork and site documentation
• Maintain unit cleanliness and perform routine upkeep
