Job summary

Andritz Hydro Canada seeks a Project Engineer – Gates to bridge engineering and project management. You will lead technical activities with Engineering, Procurement and Installation teams and serve as the primary technical contact for the customer, reporting to the Project Manager.

You will coordinate engineering, construction and controls, organize design reviews, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Certified member of the O.I.Q.
• Experience in hydroelectricity or related design/manufacturing activities.
• Proven leadership in coordinating engineering activities.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between engineering, construction and project controls groups.
• Organize and lead technical meetings and design reviews.
• Ensure stakeholders understand technical specs and expectations.
• Define technical strategy and supply plan with PM and Procurement.
• Participate in supplier and subcontractor discussions and negotiations.
• Ensure on-time engineering deliverables and supply with quality criteria.
• Follow up on non-conformances and change management with customer and engineering.
• Collaborate with PM to develop contingency plans for issues.
