Work location: Midwestern and Western United States and Eastern Canada. Willingness to travel and work on remote sites is essential.

Job Description

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, including subcontractor coordination and workforce supervision.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standards.
• Oversee scheduling, material deliveries, inspections, and daily site logistics.
• Track project milestones and provide detailed progress reports to senior management.
• Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges to minimize delays.
• Maintain thorough and accurate site documentation, including logs, reports, and compliance records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of experience in construction site supervision, with at least 5 years in hydroelectric or heavy civil projects.
• In-depth knowledge of hydro project construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Must be available for both planned and unplanned inspections.
• Field-based role requiring travel within Canada and/or U.S.
• Work may include exposure to extreme weather conditions, rugged terrain, and remote locations.
