Job summary

A leading company in hydraulic services seeks a technician to provide on-site services throughout the lower mainland. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, commissioning, and repairing hydraulic systems, with opportunities for ongoing training on both products and technology. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in hydraulics, a clean driving record, and must be able to work in BC immediately.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in hydraulic component repair and testing.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to work permanently in BC immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, commission, and upgrade hydraulic systems.
  • Repair, convert, and assemble all types of hydraulic components.

Job description

P.S.I. Fluid Power, a SunSource company, have extensive experience in mobile and industrial hydraulic servicing. We provide component repair, system troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, system commissioning, and system modification. Our service team have no boundaries recently servicing equipment in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. www.psifluidpower.ca

The primary objective of this position is to provide on-site technical fluid power services to our customers throughout the lower mainland. This includes troubleshooting, commissioning, and upgrading hydraulic systems.


Essential Functions
  • Repair, convert, and assemble all types of hydraulic components.
  • Test hydraulic components on our test stand to ensure they meet manufacturers specification.
  • Troubleshooting of mobile and industrial hydraulic systems.
  • The following of all prescribed company procedures, including the handling of paperwork and invoicing.
  • Assist in properly maintaining and operating the company's assets, including tools, the test bench and service trucks.
  • Stay current on our products as well as our competitors’ products and technology. We will provide the opportunity for training.
Experience, Education and Skills
  • Ability to review and follow hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in hydraulic component repair and testing. Millwright and Aircraft mechanic background is sufficient.
  • Formal hydraulic theory training. Could be taken during Millwright or Aircraft repair training.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to work permanently in BC immediately.
