Position Overview:

NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul / Trans Tech is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Platform Trailer Operator to support our Acheson division. The role reports to the Heavy Haul Manager. Responsibilities include pre-operational inspections, preparing for safe load movement, and transporting equipment on conventional and hydraulic trailers. The ideal candidate will know how to operate trailers, load/unload, reconfigure equipment, and possess supervisory experience.

• Understand and interpret transport plans for successful execution.
• Assemble and configure heavy haul equipment and platform trailers.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Secure loads within weight limits.
• Pilot over-dimensional loads.
• Operate trailers according to job requirements.
• Hold constructive toolbox meetings.
• Perform other relevant activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience operating trailers, including hydraulic platform trailers.
• Experience with Goldhofer & Schuerle trailers required.
• 2-4 years of pilot car experience is a plus; training on platform trailers may be provided.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; Class 3 or 1 license is an asset.
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing required; post-incident testing as needed.
• Certifications: CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Arrest.
• Willingness to become a member of Local 362 Teamsters.
