Location: Edmonton, AB (Calgary considered)
Schedule: Hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
Duration: Backfill Contract
Sector: Liquid Pipelines

Overview:
Our client, a major player in the pipeline industry, is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer III to support operations and brownfield projects within their Liquid Pipelines group. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role suited for an experienced engineer who can balance technical expertise with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support hydraulic modelling and analysis across liquid pipeline systems
  • Contribute to operational and brownfield project execution
  • Ensure effective data handling and interpretation in support of pipeline operations
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-discipline teams
  • Apply core hydraulic fundamentals to real-world scenarios—not just software-driven approaches
Nice to Have (but not required):
  • Familiarity with SPF Offline, ModelBuilder, or related hydraulic modelling tools
  • Strong background in interpreting and working with numerical data
  • Previous exposure to operational projects within pipeline infrastructure
Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline)
  • 7+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in liquid pipelines
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills—must be able to interact effectively with SMEs and stakeholders
