Job description

We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Cylinder Mechanic.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hydraulic Cylinder Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding hydraulic cylinders used in various types of machinery and equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hydraulic systems, and experience with precision measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hydraulic Cylinder Bench operating experience necessary.
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and diagnose hydraulic cylinders and components.
  • Identify worn or damaged parts and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Machine, weld, or replace parts as necessary (e.g., seals, rods, tubes).
  • Reassemble cylinders according to specifications and test for proper function.
  • Operate lathes, grinders, torque wrenches, and other shop tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and services performed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company standards.
  • Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, and engineers to resolve mechanical issues.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; technical school certification.
  • 2+ years of experience in hydraulic system repair or related field.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, schematics, and components.
  • Proficient with hand tools, measuring equipment, and hydraulic testing tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical diagrams.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in shop or field environments.
  • Welding and machining skills are a plus.
  • Forklift certification is a bonus.
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily shop-based, with occasional fieldwork.
  • Exposure to noise, grease, oil, and other mechanical environments.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Full-time position with overtime. Benefits include: 4% 401K Match, PTO, 100% paid medical, dental, and vision for employee and dependents, and three paid holidays.
