Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Vaughan, ON is seeking a full-time delivery driver to operate a delivery van safely, conduct pre/post-trip inspections, and deliver products to clients with excellent customer service.

Shifts are Monday to Thursday 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM, with Friday as required. The role offers 10 paid time off days on hire, excellent benefits after 30 days, and retirement plans. This is a great opportunity to grow within a Fortune 500 logistics leader.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum 9 months verifiable driving experience.
• Valid Driver's License (G/Class 5).
• Travel greater than 60%.

Responsibilities

About the Job

Type: Full-time/permanent

Wage: $23.39/Hour with a premium of $1.00/Hour when working on transportation related tasks

Shifts: Monday to Thursday: 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM (1pm-7pm warehouse dedicated; 7pm-11pm on transportation side) Friday: As required based on operational needs

Essential Functions

• Responsible to drive a delivery van in a safe and responsible manner.
• Conduct pre and post vehicle inspection
• Responsible to deliver products to our clients/customers and provide superior customer service
• Collect products for returns according to instructions and provide the customer a credit note
• Conduct pre and post vehicle inspection
• Complete the administration and paper work
• Record order discrepancies and inform the Dispatch Office for resolution (adjustment transactions)
• Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to drive a delivery van in a safe and responsible manner

• Must be able to frequently lift/carry 35 lbs for 8 to 10 hours daily

Qualifications

Compensation Information
