Job summary
ENMAX Corporation in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Transmission Engineer to advance critical transmission infrastructure. You will contribute from early planning and design through construction and closeout, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver safe, reliable projects.
The role requires 5+ years in transmission line design, P.Eng with APEGA, and strong proficiency with PLS CADD, POLE, TOWER and CAISSON.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Structural preferred.
- 5+ years progressive experience in transmission line design.
- Proficient with PLS CADD/POLE/TOWER/CAISSON.
- Maximo experience is an asset.
- A valid Driver’s License is required.
- P.Eng status with APEGA.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for full project cycle including planning, routing, regulatory, design and construction.
- Plan and produce detailed designs for new lines and upgrades, including structural analysis.
- Conduct engineering design and analysis for transmission line components and systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables.
- Review engineering documents, specifications, and material/tender packages.
