Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Logistics Operations Analyst to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory processes. You will collect and analyze large datasets, identify inefficiencies, and develop actionable recommendations to drive operational excellence.

The role requires 3+ years in logistics analysis, strong skills in Excel, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, and the ability to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business analytics, statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics analysis, operations research, or similar analytical role within the supply chain.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), SQL, and Tableau/Power BI.
• Excellent understanding of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, cost drivers, and opportunities for process improvement within the logistics network.
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor operational effectiveness.
• Create reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.
• Assist in development and implementation of logistics strategies and initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and IT to ensure data integrity and system effectiveness.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed operational changes and investments.
• Support selection and implementation of new logistics technologies and software solutions.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies in all analytical work.
