P&P Optica is seeking a rigorous Machine Learning Developer to join our software team in a hybrid Waterloo, Ontario setting. You will design, train, and deploy real-time ML models that analyze hyperspectral data on production lines.

The role blends software engineering with ML, requiring strong Python, ML framework experience, and a delivery-focused mindset. 3+ years in software development with ML, experience in Agile, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines are essential.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with ML.
• Strong Python & scientific stack: NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn; PyTorch or TensorFlow preferred.
• Able to handle messy, high-dimensional sensor data and identify edge cases.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum environments and breaking ML tasks into sprints.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Physics or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Develop ML systems from prototype to production for real-time hyperspectral data.
• Apply software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and source control.
• Extract, analyze, and optimize features from high-dimensional spectral datasets.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code that integrates with PPO’s software ecosystem.
• Collaborate with MLOps/DevOps to automate training, testing, and deployment in CI/CD.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and work within cross-functional teams.
