Job summary

ENMAX Corporation seeks a Protection & Control Engineer-In-Training to support the design, configuration, analysis, and implementation of protection and control systems for our transmission and distribution assets in Calgary. Under the guidance of a Professional Engineer, you will contribute to relay settings development, coordination studies, disturbance analyses, and commissioning activities.

This role offers hands-on experience with critical power infrastructure, exposure to ENMAX engineering

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• EIT with APEGA accepted; professional licensure ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review protection and control designs including relay settings and logic narratives.
• Assist in relay coordination studies, short-circuit analysis, and protection performance evaluations.
• Participate in factory and field testing, commissioning, and validation of protection systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliant engineering deliverables.
